Persia Grill - Valero (Centrum II) in Metro Manila

"Despite our tight schedule revisiting old spots from our younger days in the Philippines, we were lucky that Persia Grill was just a block away from our hotel. The food still tastes the same and, most importantly, it’s halal. I believe they’ve moved a few times — I remember the earlier location was near the lobby of Greenbelt 3 — but the experience remains just as good."

"The lamp chop was DELICIOUS, one of the best I ever had. However, some smaller things clearly need improvement. The bread needs to be more crispy, it was almost dough. But what was unacceptable was the “salad” in the main dish plate: a semi-dead lettuce leaf with a spoonful of frozen vegetables on top. Also: The waiter saw me using my fingers and came immediately with extra tissues, good!"

"A very pleasant place in the hearth of Makati. Clean, quick service. I had a vegetarian starter and beef kebab with lava rice. Both were tasty and natural. I liked a few other plates but was not able to have more food. Definetly will return if around."

"A solid Mediterranean spot. Mister Kabab still does casual Mediterranean cuisine better in my opinion, but Persia Grill won’t disappoint either. Their kebabs are tasty, and the rice that comes with them is generous. Just a heads-up: if you’ve got a big appetite, the 1-piece kebab with rice at ₱199 probably won’t be enough. You can either order two of them or go for the 2-piece kebab plate, which is nearly ₱500 because the rice is biryani. The lone staff member was friendly, chatty, and surprisingly efficient, managing everything smoothly despite being on his own. Overall, a good option for when you’re in Salcedo Village, Makati, and craving kebabs and don’t want to travel too far."

"Tasty shawarma rice meal. Couple it with their garlic sauce, the flavour medley is a classic and it just works. Only gripe is that given the price point, they could've spared a few more chunks of meat. Good service, place picks up around lunchtime, but still has ample space."
